COM 1010: Graphic Core

Description

This course will introduce students to the digital software skills used in graphic design. This is a working studio class where students will go through demonstrations and hands-on applications to better understand the Adobe CS Design Collection – Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. Software requirements: Adobe CC Hardware requirements: Mac computer or Widows compatible computer with specifications found at www.waldorf.edu/Online/Academics/Programs-of-Study/Communications

Objectives

  1. To use the basic terminology in the professional field to communicate intelligently.
  2. Upon completion of the course, students should be ready to apply the knowledge gained in their upper-level courses.
  3. Apply essential design production techniques using Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
