Description

Introduces the branch of psychology that addresses how people and animals learn and how their behaviors are changed as a result of this learning.

Objectives

  1. Explain the history of learning in psychology.
  2. Identify the basic principles of conditioning.
  3. Discuss social learning theory in relation to real-world issues.
  4. Describe theories affecting motor skill acquisition and performance.
  5. Compare theories on self-control and choice situations.
  6. Summarize research on learning with respect to methodology.
