CYB 3308: Cloud Computing

Description

Explores cloud computing fundamentals that pertains to both technology and business considerations. Topics covered are cloud services, cloud architectures, cloud backup and storage, sharing of digital media, cloud-based applications, mobile systems, virtualization, and cloud security and management. This course prepares students to sit for the CompTIA Cloud Essentials Certification.

Objectives

  1. Explain the practice of cloud computing, to include examples.
  2. Differentiate among the main cloud service models.
  3. Examine the advantages and disadvantages of cloud computing from a business perspective.
  4. Describe how cloud computing can enhance business value.
  5. Differentiate between private and public clouds.
  6. Analyze solutions for adopting and implementing a cloud service.
  7. Analyze risks associated with cloud based applications.
