Description

Introduces both theoretical and technical aspects of several current operating systems. Areas covered within this course are operating system installation, configuration, use, and maintenance. Network, device, and file system topics are included.

Objectives

  1. Explain the function of operating systems.
  2. Describe the features of current operating systems.
  3. Characterize all filing systems used by specific operating systems.
  4. Explain the processes managing operating systems.
  5. Analyze how common networks are managed by operating systems.
  6. Examine how storage technologies are managed by operating systems.
