Troy Cochran became an online adjunct instructor for the Criminal Justice Department in 2015. His primary areas of interest are in criminological theories, biological factors in serial offending and crime prevention.
Cochran has over 10 years of law enforcement experience with his last assignment being a detective in investigations with the Arkansas City Police Department in Kansas. He has experience in patrol duties, homicides, sex crimes, financial crimes and many others. He is an active member on the International Council on Alcohol, Drugs and Traffic Safety and a member of the International Association for Identification Kansas Division. He has been awarded the police chief’s award and officer of the year twice. Academically, he is a member of the Golden Key International Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
