Tina Wixom is the Assistant Professor of Business in the Business Department. Tina joined the Waldorf Business Department in fall 2014 and is enjoying connecting with students as they fulfill their dreams. Professor Wixom teaches Intro to Business, International Business, Production and Operations Management, Business Communications, Insurance and Accounting Systems as well as a few Waldorf Online courses.
Professor Wixom’s corporate business background includes working in a variety of industries: Newspaper, Plastic Injection Molding, Mail Production, Financial Services, Training and Office Furniture Manufacturing. Tina has held leadership, management and training positions in areas such as Administrative Services, Human Resources, Financial Analysis, Customer Support, Electronic Commerce and Project Management. In her last corporate position she was a certified Business Process Improvement trainer.
Tina’s passion for teaching started in 2012 when she became an Adjust Faculty member at Muscatine Community College teaching: Intro to Business, Records Management, Meetings & Conferences, Professionalism in the Workplace, Customer Service Strategies, Principles of Supervision, Principles of Management and Human Relations.
Professor Wixom enjoys helping students “connect the dots” from text book to real life business situations and achieve the “ah ha” moments that empowers them to succeed and achieve their life goals. Tina believes life is a challenging, fun place that can always be made better by gaining knowledge and collectively working together to improve ourselves and the processes we touch.
Tina holds a certificate in Principles of Management; Effective Coaching and Mentoring from MRA Institute of Management.
