Tim Schumacher, M.A.

Tim Schumacher serves as an adjunct professor at Waldorf University where he directs the Waldorf Jazz Band, Vocal Jazz and Jazz Combo. He earned a Bachelor of Music Education in Voice and Instrumental music from Wartburg College. He attended the University of Denver to complete a Master of Arts degree in Choral and Orchestral conducting. While at DU he also completed extensive studies in Classical Guitar, Vocal Pedagogy and Jazz.

Mr. Schumacher is ABD (All But Dissertation) from the University of Iowa in Choral Conducting. An active performer, he appears regularly as guitarist and bassist for the Okoboji Summer Theatre and he has held positions as Director of Music and Choral Activities on all levels including High School, College/University and Church/Community settings. He is currently in his 29th year as Artistic Director and Conductor of the “Many Voices” Choir, a regional adult, volunteer ensemble drawing membership from approximately 20 communities around Northwest Iowa.
