Tara is a 2015 Waldorf graduate. Being a Forest City native, Tara has lived in the area almost all her life. After graduating from Forest City High School in 1996, she started her family in rural Forest City. In the fall of 1997, she started the Nursing program at NIACC, but decided she wanted to focus on raising her family. After 1 year and 1 semester in, she quit, with hopes that one day she'd go back. Over the years, Tara held many management positions from working at a car dealership, to an insurance agency, to running a local restaurant, to a grocery story. She prayed regularly that one day she'd be able to get her college degree and, after 16 years, she finally got the answer to her prayer; she started attending Waldorf College in 2012.
While a student at Waldorf, Tara was involved with WalTV as the director of promotions, the Waldorf Literary Review as head designer, The Torch as design editor, the Lobbyist as a reporter and Alpha Chi Honor Society as marketing director. She is proud to be a Warrior!
Tara lives in rural Joice, Iowa, with her husband, Jeff. They have three daughters, one son-in-law and two grandsons. Tara loves Jesus, singing, reading, knitting, 4-wheeling, geo-caching and gardening.
Tara is a semi-professional photographer who loves to be behind the camera. She is also a member of AIGA, the professional association for design.
