Professor Usmanov was born in Andijan, Uzbekistan. His teaching experience includes significant teaching experience in Soviet Union, also teaching at North Dakota State University, North Dakota, and Ashford University – Clinton campus, Iowa.
He is a member of the American Mathematical Society. His teaching interests are in pure and applied mathematics. He is married and has two kids. He likes to travel with his family, play chess, listen music and read books.
