Ryan Flickinger enters his 10th year at Waldorf University and third year as the director of athletic recruiting. He is also the associate director of admissions.
Flickinger previously was a member of the Waldorf baseball team’s coaching staff for seven seasons, assuming duties as head coach in 2010. He led the Warriors as head coach for three seasons.
After graduating from Denver High School in Denver, Iowa, Flickinger attended Waldorf College where he pitched for the Warrior baseball team and finished his college career as a student coach.
Flickinger earned his bachelors of science degree in wellness management from Waldorf in 2006 and completed a masters degree in sports management from Columbia Southern University in 2014.
In 2014, Flickinger returned to the admissions office as the Director of Athletic Recruiting and Associate Director of admissions. In his new role, Flickinger works with all of the athletic programs in recruiting and eligibility efforts. He serves as an admissions liaison for the athletic department and helps athletes with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Eligibility Center.
Flickinger and his wife, Heather, reside in Forest City. Heather is employed as an instructor in North Iowa Area Community College’s Wellness Department and is also an online instructor at Waldorf.
