Dr. Michelle Kelly joined Waldorf University as a faculty member in 2014 teaching graduate courses in the M.A. in Organizational Leadership program. Her first courses included ORG 5100: Leadership Theory and Practice and ORG 6900: Leading Complex Change.
Primary research interest include organizational leadership, behavioral sciences, and effective communication. Dr. Kelly's published works include her 2009 dissertation as well as peer-reviewed journal articles. Most recently, "Technology Initiative Derailed in U.S. Early Education Schools: Should Leadership Redesign the Organizational Blueprint?" (2013) was published in the International Journal of Child Care and Education Policy. The article was about the importance of aligning project management with technology development in school systems.
Dr. Kelly's professional experiences began in the year 2000, teaching at a community college in Massachusetts and subsequently teaching online with both the University of Phoenix and in Massachusetts in 2006. She also teaches graduate and post-graduate courses at Columbia Southern University in the MSL and DBA School of Business programs.
Dr. Kelly's teaching and course writing experiences include these content areas: Humanities, Business, Management, Education, English, Communication and Philosophy. Since 1995, she has also provided school leadership as the director of a private school for young children, which informs her teaching practice with current, real-world practitioner experience.
Dr. Kelly is involved professionally in various aspects of business and education, including: serving as a reviewer for the Academy of Management Journal for the 2006 Annual meeting; receiving a Course of Distinction Award from Massachusetts Colleges Online (MCO) for an online course; acting as a college department accreditation Committee Member; and being a member of the Association of Leadership Education (ALE.) She has presented research-based studies and strategies at various conference from coast to coast. Most recently, she co-presented with the Vice President and owner in Columbia Southern University in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Kelly is a course writer, conference presenter and published author.
