Megan's hometown is Fertile, Iowa. After graduating from Forest City High School, she studied English at Drake University where she received the opportunity to become a part of their Chinese Cultural Exchange Program. After receiving her degree, she was placed with Hebei Normal University to teach university-level English for one year. It is during this time that she discovered her love of travel and found her passion in working with international students. Megan returned to Iowa to obtain her Master's Degree in Public Administration while doing shorter teaching assignments in both Istanbul and Hong Kong. She also took a year to return to China to study Mandarin Chinese. Upon completing her studies, she held jobs at Luther College and Bemidji State University working with international students and international recruitment, before finding her way back home at Waldorf.
