Lisa Perry, D.M.A.
Adjunct Professor of Clarinet

Currently based in Minneapolis, Minn., clarinetist Lisa Perry is an active solo, chamber and orchestral musician. Dr. Perry substitutes with the North Carolina Symphony Orchestra and has also appeared with the North Carolina Master Chorale, the Taneycomo Festival Orchestra, Minnesota
Public Radio (MPR) and the Stamford International Chamber Music Festival (UK). Dr. Perry is an active member of the International Clarinet Association, performing at the 2015 ICA Southeastern Festival in Birmingham, Ala. and the 2012 ClarinetFest in Lincoln, Neb.. As an educator, Dr.
Perry has taught at Bemidji State University in Bemidji, Minn. and the Mount Olivet School of Music in Minneapolis, Minn.. During the summer, Dr. Perry has assisted at the Interlochen Center for Arts Clarinet Academy and is currently on faculty at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp (Mich.), the Alexander
Fiterstein Clarinet Academy (Minn.) and the International Music Camp in North Dakota/Canada.
Dr. Perry earned her doctor of musical arts degree in clarinet performance at the University of Minnesota where she was a teaching assistant and Berneking Fellowship recipient. She received her master of music degree in clarinet performance at Florida State University where she served as a
graduate teaching assistant to Dr. Frank Kowalsky and Dr. Deborah Bish. Lisa also holds a bachelor of music degree in clarinet performance from East Carolina University. Her teachers include Janice Lipson, Michael Cyzewski, Anne Dervin, Christopher Grymes, Frank Kowalsky and Alexander Fiterstein.
