Professor Gauthier is career professional with over twenty (20) years of law enforcement and senior security management experience. His experience includes several functional and specialty areas including senior security management, criminal investigator, detective/bureau, patrol officer, field training officer, background investigator, law enforcement recruiter, tactical unit leadership, and special operations group tasked with protective responsibility for staff members, victims, witnesses and informants.

Professor Gauthier currently works as a criminal investigator for the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office in the state of California. Assignments have included Economic Crime, Major Fraud, Real Estate Fraud, Welfare Fraud, Family Violence Division and Child Abduction Unit (CAU). His ancillary assignments have included Special Operations Group, Armorer, Range Staff, Terrorism Liaison Officer (TLO) and former Board Member and Secretary - District Attorney Investigators Association (DAIA).

Professor Gauthier has a passion for higher education and helping students succeed. He has taught at traditional universities on-campus and teaches online classes. He worked as an assistant dean of student services, alumni president, honor society president, board of directors, course development, student mentor and participation in various leadership, academic and advisory committees.

Professor Gauthier is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice / Homeland Security at Liberty University.
