Dr. Danette L. James is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a management consulting company, an experienced event planner and a visiting professor. She is also the Founder and Board Chair of a 501(c) 3 housing agency in Philadelphia, Pa.. With an extensive background in leadership, management and training, Dr. James has held various senior level positions in Corporate America. In addition, she served on numerous boards and steering committees, in her commitment to doing kingdom work in the marketplace.

Dr. James received her undergraduate education at Morgan State University (Mathematics) and Geneva College (Human Resources-Summa Cum Laude). After her Bachelor of Science, she earned a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Human Resource Management from Strayer University, and a Doctor of Management in Organizational Leadership from University of Phoenix. Her dissertation is published in ProQuest and is called a “Case Study: Succession Planning in a Nonprofit Organization”.

As an itinerant speaker, Dr. James has done extensive travel throughout the country. She has served as a panelist and facilitated numerous seminars. Some of the topics include management, diversity, conflict resolution, time management, leadership styles & characteristics, succession planning and the nonprofit sector (boards and governance).

Dr, James loves teaching, administrating, helping others become self-sufficient, listening to music, traveling and shopping. She proudly shares life with her husband of 32 years, who is also an educator, and two adult children. The family is grateful for all of God’s blessings.
