Mr. Chris Lockwood, band director for CAL Community Schools is a graduate of the University of Northern Iowa where he received his Bachelor of Music Education degree in 2005. In 2011, he earned his Masters in Tuba Performance degree from The University of Akron. He is currently in his 7th year of teaching. Prior to teaching at CAL, Mr. Lockwood taught a couple years at George Washington Carver Academy in Waterloo, Iowa. As a performer, Mr. Lockwood has performed in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony Orchestra, North Iowa Community Concert Band, Mason City Municipal Band, Clear Lake Municipal Band and is the tubist of the Metropolitan Brass Quintet based out of Waterloo, Iowa. In his spare time, he enjoys reading and traveling.
