Carolyn Haugland received her Bachelor of Music in Flute Performance from Iowa State University in 2002. While at Iowa State, she was 1st chair flutist in the Iowa State Band, Iowa State Symphony and Ames Orchestra. She also enjoyed performing with the Arcadia Wind Quintet and Iowa State Flute Choir.
Upon graduating from Iowa State, Carolyn earned her Juris Doctorate from Drake University Law School. One of her lifelong goals was fulfilled when she was chosen as a Flute Alternate for the Des Moines Symphony Orchestra, performing at the Civic Center and at the well known Yankee Doodle Pops concert on the steps of the Des Moines Capitol.
She lives on an acreage in Clear Lake with her husband and 2 young children.
