Carol Farver, Ed.D.

Organizational Leadership | Adjunct Professor

Ed.D. in Educational Leadership – Drake University
M.S. in Curriculum & Instruction – Black Hills State University
B.A. in Elementary Education – Adams State College
Carol is excited to be part of the Waldorf University on-line adjunct faculty. As a recent retiree from years in public education, this opportunity allows her to stay involved in the exciting field of education at the student level...her favorite.

She spent 17 years enjoying teaching in classrooms and another 17 years as an administrator, serving as an elementary principal in three different districts. She also taught classes for the EAE, Upper Iowa and Drake University.

Carol's doctoral work at Drake University focused on leadership development in students. Her belief is that all students have leadership potential waiting to be developed once we put aside perceptions of who can be a leader. Her master's thesis centered around character development in the public school setting. She is currently participating in the Governor's appointed task force to review educator evaluation systems in Iowa. She is also involved in her local church and the local United Way.
