Air & Bus Transportation

We accommodate students that need transportation to the Mason City Municipal Airport, the Jefferson Bus Terminal at the airport in Mason City, Iowa, or the Jefferson bus stop at the Pilot Travel Center in Clear Lake, Iowa, or to local medical clinics during the academic year (August through Mid-May).

Carrier Choices

Air Choice One, Jefferson Lines and Greyhound will all leave and depart from the following address:

Minneapolis St. Paul International Airport
4300 Glumack Dr.
St. Paul, MN 55111

Ride Request

A ride request form must be filled out for air or bus travel at least 72 hours before the student needs transportation services. If your flight is outside the designated pickup and drop off range there will be an additional cost. We can't guarantee a ride if a student decides to go outside of our dates and times, but we will try to accommodate your needs as best we can.

After submitting a ride request form, a confirmation email will be sent to the student. Brett Geelan, the transportation coordinator, will follow up with an email within showing your itinerary or if any issues arise. All ride charges will be applied to your student account.

You may experience wait times depending on the number of travelers in a group pick-up or drop-off. This wait time also pertains to weather, traffic or flight delays.

Flights from Minneapolis, Minn., Chicago, Ill., or St. Louis. Mo. to the Mason City Municipal Airport will be through Air Choice One. Students will be responsible to plan ahead and book the commuter flight to the Mason City Municipal Airport. Shuttle ride charges to and from the Mason City Municipal Airport or bus stops in Mason City or Clear Lake are only $20 per trip. Air Choice One will take $5 off flights to and from Mason City and Minneapolis if a Waldorf Student shows their ID.

Frequently asked questions can be answered here.

Note: The air and bus transportation service is only provided to undergraduate students at Waldorf University.
