Each year, the Creative Writing Program at Waldorf University sponsors a writing contest and festival for regional high schools. Students from all 18 schools in the Top of Iowa Conference are invited to participate. The staff of the Waldorf Literary Review, members of the Warriors Writing Club, and supervising faculty collaborate to judge entries, creating a booklet of submitted work. Winners receive recognition at an on-campus festival, and they receive substantial scholarships to attend Waldorf University. To date, winners have been recognized from Central Springs High School, Clear Lake High School, Forest City High School, St. Ansgar High School, Nashua-Plainfield High School, Newman Catholic High School, North Iowa High School, Osage High School, West Fork High School, and West Hancock High School.
