Campus Visit Opportunities

  • Individual Visits

    Schedule a day with just you and your guests to see how Waldorf is perfect for you! This is a personalized day to meet with people in your areas of interest. Geared specific to your interests. Individual visits range from 3-4 hours depending on what you want to learn.

    Individual visits can be scheduled any day Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. Any other days or times can be arranged directly with your admissions counselor.

    Guests will receive:

    • 20% discount on Waldorf Bookstore purchases
    • $500 travel grant for residential students
    • Admittance to an athletic/fine art event
    • Complimentary lunch
    • Opportunities to attend a fine arts rehearsal, athletic practice, student group meeting or sit in on a class.

     

  • Open House Visit Days

    Open House is a great opportunity to tour campus, meet current students, chat with professors in your field of study, meet with athletic coaches, fine art directors or leadership advisors. This event is a great resource to experience Waldorf while visiting with other prospective students.

  • Scholarship Day

    The Waldorf University Scholarship Day is an academic event for incoming freshman prospective students who meet eligibility requirements are able to compete for several scholarships including a full-tuition scholarship. Parents are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

    Eligibility

    • Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA (with a minimum 18 ACT/940 SAT)

    OR

    • Minimum Minimum 23 ACT/1130 SAT(with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA)

    Full-tuition scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at Waldorf University to maintain their scholarship.

    Students wishing to participate in Scholarship Day must be admitted to Waldorf University one week prior to the competition date. The following items are required to be admitted to the university

    10:30 a.m. Student Essay
    12 p.m. Complimentary Lunch
    1 p.m. Student Interview
    1-3 p.m. Campus Tours (Optional)
    *Bookstore will be open from 12:30-3 p.m.

    Essay Phase
    This phase consists of writing on a topic that will be provided at the event. Students will have one hour to complete their essay. Students will be provided with a dictionary, writing utensil and paper. Students should take into consideration the following while writing: overall message, sentence structure, grammar and focus of essay.

    Interview Phase
    The interview phase consists of a panel composed of Waldorf University faculty and staff that will meet individually with students and ask them a range of questions. Questions are geared toward the student's experiences academically, in the community and their chosen activities, groups or organizations. We encourage students to consider presentation, sentence structure, body language and appearance.

    Suggested Attire
    Business casual attire is suggested. Please be comfortable, but we kindly ask you not to wear jeans.
