Campus Visit Opportunities

  • Virtual Campus Visit

    Schedule a personalized Virtual Campus Visit for you and your parents to see if Waldorf University is the right fit for you!

    This virtual visit will help you with your college search process during the COVID-19 pandemic. Tailored to your interests, the visit is facilitated online using Adobe Connect and will last about an hour.

    These visits are available Monday through Friday between 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Central Standard Time.

    During the Virtual Campus Visit you will:

    • Visit with your Personal Admissions Rep - general admissions info and scholarship info!
    • Visit with a Faculty Member in your area of interest
    • Visit with a Program Director or Athletic Coach
    • Experience a brief virtual tour of campus


  • Individual Visits

    Schedule a day with just you and your guests to see how Waldorf is perfect for you! This is a personalized day to meet with people in your areas of interest. Geared specific to your interests. Individual visits range from 3-4 hours depending on what you want to learn.

    Individual visits can be scheduled any day Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. or 1 p.m. Any other days or times can be arranged directly with your admissions counselor.

    Guests will receive:

    • Admittance to an athletic/fine art event
    • Complimentary lunch
    • Opportunities to attend a fine arts rehearsal, athletic practice, student group meeting or sit in on a class.


  • Athletic Open House

    Our Athletic Open House is a great opportunity to meet the coaching staff, current student athletes and possible future teammates. You will also visit with admissions, chat with professors in your field of study and tour campus. We even provide you lunch! This event is a great resource to experience Waldorf University and what it may be like to be a student athlete in college.

    • 9:45-10:15 a.m. – Admission presentation
    • 10:15-10:40 a.m. – NAIA talk
    • 10:40-11 a.m. – Academic session
    • 11 a.m.-12 p.m. – Tour
    • Lunch to follow
  • Fall Open House

    Our Fall Open House is a great opportunity to tour campus, meet current students, chat with professors in your field of study, meet with athletic coaches, fine art directors or leadership advisors. This event is a great resource to experience Waldorf while visiting with other prospective students.

  • Virtual Scholarship Competition Dates

    The Waldorf University Scholarship Day is an academic event for current high school seniors who meet eligibility requirements to compete for several scholarships, including up to full-tuition.


    • 3.25 cumulative GPA


    • Minimum 23 ACT/1130 SAT(with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA)*
      *if you have not taken the ACT or SAT, please contact your Admission Counselor

    Full-tuition scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA at Waldorf University to maintain their scholarship.

    When–November 2-6 & 9-13, 2020
    Where–Virtually via Zoom
    Time–9 a.m.-5 p.m.


    Students wishing to participate in Scholarship Day must be accepted to Waldorf University one week prior to the competition date. The following items are required to be admitted to the university:

    *Students that qualify and choose to live off campus will have the cost of housing deducted from the scholarship amount.

    Evaluation criteria:

    Essay Phase
    This phase consists of writing on a topic that will be provided at the date and time of participation. This will be conducted during a study hall or open period that you set up along with a teacher or counselor (during the school day). Students will have one hour to complete their essay. Students will be allowed to use a dictionary. Students should take into consideration the following while writing: overall message, sentence structure, grammar and focus of essay.

    Interview Phase
    The interview phase consists of a two-person panel of Waldorf staff that will visit with students in a virtual setting. A range of questions will be considered, gearing toward the student's experiences academically, in the community and their chosen activities, groups or organizations. We encourage students to consider presentation, sentence structure, body language and appearance.

    Suggested Attire
    Business casual attire is suggested. Please be comfortable, but we kindly ask you not to wear jeans.

  • Junior Preview Day

    We're excited to have you on campus and want one of your first experiences to be entertaining and productive. As a junior in high school you're facing some serious decisions regarding your choices for higher education. This event is made to introduce you to the many opportunities available as a Waldorf Warrior and provide insight into your future options. You'll be able to explore campus, meet current students, visit with faculty and staff, learn about our athletic and performing arts programs, and learn about available scholarships.
