Library staff are here to assist students, faculty, staff and community members with their research needs. If you need more individual in-depth research assistance from one of the librarians, please schedule an assistance session by emailing a request to library@waldorf.edu. Please provide information about the assignment and topic when making an appointment. Staff are available during library hours.

Collaborative Embedded Instruction Program (CEP)

This program combines library and writing center instruction to support students in courses containing a research paper component. The CEP program includes 3-to-5 short instruction sessions throughout the semester, led by a librarian or writing center expert. Instruction is paced to correlate with student progress on their research papers. This program is limited to five courses per semester.

One-Shot Information Literacy Sessions

One-shot sessions are provided in courses upon request by faculty. Topics commonly covered are catalog or database searching, instruction on subject-specific databases, evaluating websites, academic integrity, and citation information. Faculty members may request library instruction for their classes by emailing their subject liaison librarian.

Creation of Course Library Guides

Librarians develop library guides tailored to meet the needs of a particular course upon request. Library guides are intended to support students by directing them toward subject specific titles, databases, videos and websites appropriate for course assignments. Faculty should contact their liaison librarian to discuss content.
