• Waldorf University to add Esports in 2020 Athletic Line-Up

    Beginning the fall of 2020, Waldorf University will enter the competitive arena of esports gaming as an addition to the athletic program. A new state-of-the-art gaming arena and practice facility will be housed in the Waldorf University Campus Information Center located in the heart of the Waldorf University residential campus. We are excited to begin the recruitment process for this fast-paced, highly interactive sport throughout the spring and summer months of 2020. Recruitment for the team coach is currently underway.

All presentations will be held in the Luise V. Hanson Library room 201 located at 106 S. Sixth St. Forest City, Iowa. The presentations are free and open to the public.

    Waldorf University will host the first annual music career day on Wednesday, March 13. The event will run from 2-9 p.m. with a feature keynote presentation from composer Ben Allaway. A Music Career Day Concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Boman Fine Arts Center located at 225 John K. Hanson Dr. Forest City, IA. and will highlight the Waldorf University Wind Symphony, Schola Cantorum and Waldorf Choir. The career day afternoon events are free to interested students.   • Waldorf University to host “Reel Rock 13” rock climbing/mountaineering independent film festival

    Waldorf University will host a screening of the “Reel Rock 13” independent film festival on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Boman Fine Arts Center located at 225 John K. Hanson Dr., Forest City, IA. The doors will open at 2:30 p.m. Students can attend for free. There is a $5 entry fee for the general public. There will be an intermission with raffle prizes including autographed images from featured climbers, climbing passes to area climbing facilities, and Waldorf University gear.
