Beginning the fall of 2020, Waldorf University will enter the competitive arena of esports gaming as an addition to the athletic program. A new state-of-the-art gaming arena and practice facility will be housed in the Waldorf University Campus Information Center located in the heart of the Waldorf University residential campus. We are excited to begin the recruitment process for this fast-paced, highly interactive sport throughout the spring and summer months of 2020. Recruitment for the team coach is currently underway.

Creator of Passion for Leadership, Lamarr Womble, is a nationally recognized motivational speaker, dream director and school culture expert. Hosted by the Waldorf University Athletics and Department of Student Life, Womble will present on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 7:30-8:30 p.m. at the Boman Fine Arts Center located at 225 John K. Hanson Dr., Forest City, IA. The event is free and open to the public.

FOREST CITY, IOWA, Aug. 20, 2019 – Waldorf University to host an artist reception for fiber artist Joanne Alberda on Thursday Oct. 14 from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Waldorf University Gallery housed in the Campus Center located at 106 S. 6 St Forest City, Ia. 50436. An artist talk will begin at 6:30 p.m. 

Waldorf University 2019 Spring Inquirere will be held April 23 from 6-8:30 p.m., April 24 from 6-7:30 p.m., April 30 from 6-8:30 p.m., May 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. and May 2 from 6:30-8 p.m.. All presentations will be held in the Luise V. Hanson Library room 201 located at 106 S. Sixth St. Forest City, Iowa. The presentations are free and open to the public.

The Waldorf University History Club in conjunction with the Winnebago Historical Society will host the Wignes Camera Collection Showcase on Saturday, April 13 from 2-4 p.m. in the Waldorf University Salveson Ballroom located at 106 S. Sixth St. Forest City, Iowa.

Waldorf University is pleased to announce the addition of three new concentrations to its Bachelor of Science in business administration (B.S.B.A.) degree programs.

Cage fighters, a prisoner who leaked military secrets, molested gymnasts, and the unbeatable Serena Williams, these are all people interviewed by Kerry Howley, a distinguished visiting writer hosted by the Waldorf Creative Writing Program on Wednesday, March 27, 7-8 p.m. in the Salveson Ballroom located at 106 S. Sixth Street Forest City, IA.

Waldorf University will host the first annual music career day on Wednesday, March 13. The event will run from 2-9 p.m. with a feature keynote presentation from composer Ben Allaway. A Music Career Day Concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Boman Fine Arts Center located at 225 John K. Hanson Dr. Forest City, IA. and will highlight the Waldorf University Wind Symphony, Schola Cantorum and Waldorf Choir. The career day afternoon events are free to interested students. Many people want to give back to the community but may not have a lot of time to volunteer. In only about an hour, volunteer blood donors can help save lives and feel instant gratification.

Waldorf University will host a screening of the “Reel Rock 13” independent film festival on Sunday, Feb. 17 from 3 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. at the Boman Fine Arts Center located at 225 John K. Hanson Dr., Forest City, IA. The doors will open at 2:30 p.m. Students can attend for free. There is a $5 entry fee for the general public. There will be an intermission with raffle prizes including autographed images from featured climbers, climbing passes to area climbing facilities, and Waldorf University gear.
