FOREST CITY, IOWA – September 8, 2017 –  Waldorf University’s Distinguished Visiting Writer Series presents poet Jennifer L. Knox on Thursday, September 21 from 7-8 p.m. in the first floor lounge of the Luise V. Hanson Library on the Waldorf campus.   
 
“We are pleased to have Jennifer Knox come to Waldorf University for a poetry reading as part of our Distinguished Visiting Writer Series,” said Waldorf University Assistant Professor of English Ryan Clark. “Jennifer is an accomplished poet with an extensive resume. We are lucky to have someone of her caliber come to Waldorf University.”   
 
Knox is the author of four books of poems. Her work has appeared four times in The Best American Poetry series as well as in The New York Times, The New Yorker, and American Poetry Review. The Los Angeles Book Review said of her most recent book, Days of Shame & Failure, "This panoply of twenty-first century American human experience leaves the reader a different person."
 
Knox teaches poetry writing at Iowa State University and is currently at work on a culinary memoir.
