Description

Introduction to the elements and standards for APA style. Provides students with the ability to use the APA manual in implementing effective writing skills for academic work.

Objectives

  1. Identify a psychologically relevant article by conducting a database search.
  2. Utilize the APA manual to summarize and paraphrase an article from a psychologically relevant peer-reviewed journal.
  3. Create a properly formatted APA style paper with in-text citations and references.
  4. Summarize the goals of scholarly writing and how they apply to the field of psychology.
  5. Identify correct elements of scholarly writing and APA citations.
