Description

This course is designed to reinforce the basic knowledge and skills from basic fire fighter training, while requiring the student to reference advanced knowledge and skills. This course challenges the student to reference and use the experiences gained from a basic fire fighter to present.

Objectives

  1. Describe and introduce yourself to the core components of the course.
  2. Develop a comprehensive understanding of fireground tactics.
  3. Discuss the sizeup process and explain how it is an essential part of the firefighting process.
  4. Identify effective fire suppression tactics.
  5. Describe rescue ventilation and overhaul.
  6. Explain the importance of water supply and salvage.
