Student Government

Opportunities for leadership development and meaningful involvement in shaping campus life are available through Waldorf’s Student Association, of which all students are automatically members. The Student Senate, which is the chief governing body of the Student Association, is comprised of the executive officers and senators who are elected by the student body.

The purposes of the Student Association include providing the means for effective student participation in community governance, developing and interpreting student opinion on issues of interest to students, providing effective student participation in planning and administering student affairs, promoting the welfare of the student body, and acting in advisory capacities to the college administration, committees and other instruments of college governance.

In addition to the Student Senate, students participate in college governance through service on college committees. There are also three representatives of the Senate selected to serve as advisory members of the College’s Board of Regents.

Other leadership opportunities are available through Collegium Councils and other student organizations and academic programs.
