Reference Services
The library staff is here to assist with research and papers and/or project
assignments. Librarians can help develop a search strategy during an individual
research assistance session. The library staff asks that students give
information about the assignment and topic when making an appointment
with one of the librarians.
Reference Desk Hours: Spring 2008
Monday - Thursday 10AM - 2PM / 7PM - 9PM
Friday 10AM - NOON
Saturday 2PM- 5PM
Sunday 7PM - 9PM
All other time librarians are on call OR ask at the circulation desk for help
Circulation (Full Policy)
Books are checked out for a loan period of 1 month.
Videos and cd's are checked out for a loan period of 3 days.
Select titles of magazines are available for 3 days.
ID cards are required to check out materials.
Media Services (Full Policy)
A nominal fee is charged for the following services:
Video/Audio Cassette Duplication
Lamination
Spiral Binding
Reserve (PDF Version)
Materials used to supplement classroom assignments will be put on Reserve
at the request of the faculty. Student I.D. cards are required for using
Reserve materials.
Material on Reserve will follow copyright regulations as developed by
the American Library Association and the Copyright Act, sections 107 and
108. Copyright guidelines are available at the Circulation Desk.
Books on Reserve may be library books or personal copies. All Reserve
books are targeted for security. Material cannot be interlibrary loaned
from other libraries and then put on Reserve.
Standard Rules:
1. No ILL book may be put on reserve.
2. Limit of 6 (six) library owned items may be placed on reserve at any one given time, unlimited personal copies may be placed on reserve.
3. ALL reserve items will be targeted for security.
4. All reserve items will be returned at the end of each semester. If you wish items from the fall to be on reserve in the spring please contact the library before December 5th.
