The Waldorf College Archives is a division of the Luise V. Hanson Library. Established in 1990, the Archives collections are housed in two rooms on the second floor of the Luise V. Hanson Library. The Archives exist to acquire, appraise, collect, preserve, and provide access to information about the history of Waldorf College. The Archives contain many photographs, publications, historical documents, and other materials about the beginnings of Waldorf College, as well as more recent materials. Originally housed in the library, the Archives soon outgrew their quarters. In 2000, the collections were moved to the basement of Salveson Hall. The archivist, Joan Langerud, spent many hours moving, organizing, categorizing, and filing the various materials in the collection. By 2002 the Archives had once again outgrown their quarters. A second archive room was opened on May 13th, 2003. In July of 2005 the Archives found its home in two rooms on the second floor of the Luise V. Hanson Library. These rooms contains many videos of music, lectures, programs, and other activities related to Waldorf's history. |
