• In June Amy Hills joins the library staff as the new Access Service Librarian

Fall 2007

• Amy Hill and Cindy Fitzgerald created "Banned Books Week" display from Sept 29-Oct.6
• Jennifer Turner was accepted in the ALA "Emerging Leaders Program" in October.
• Library recorded its 200,000 vistor on October 4th.
• Joy Newcomb's book signing, local author, was on October 6.
• Library fall book sale was October 10-12.
• Jennifer Turner, Amy Hill, and Jim Kapoun attened the Iowa Library Association Annual Meeting in Coraville, IA. from Oct 10-12
• Jennifer Turner and Amy Hill lead student focus groups on library services near the end of October.      

Spring 2008  

• Jim Kapoun, Jennifer Turner, and Amy Hill attended the ALA Midwinter Meeting in Philadelphia, PA: January 10-14, 2008
• Library participates in 50 Days of Service with an African Library Book Drive: February 4-29, coordinated by Laura Oanes.                 In May the library sent 840 books to a library in Africa
