Reading Buddies addresses literacy issues
in 11 school districts throughout our service area. Volunteers
listen to students read or play word games in order to increase
the student's fluency and comprehension skills. Reading
Buddies work with students in K-4th grades. Last year, 96%
of students (218 students) improved reading by 0.5 grade
levels or more during the school year.
