Waldorf College Football
Team to serve as Breakfast Buddies
Waldorf College’s second annual 50 Days of Service, themed “Called
2 Serve,” is a campus-wide celebration emphasizing service
to those in need both in the community and worldwide. From Jan.
21 through March 28, Waldorf students will positively impact the
lives of others through hands-on service projects. The projects
will be student-based but will also include participation from
Waldorf faculty, staff, alumni, friends and parents.
Feb. 4-Apr. 17 – Members of the Waldorf College football team will serve
as “Breakfast Buddies” at Forest City Elementary School each morning
from 7:45-8:30 . Players and coaches will join Breakfast Buddies from RSVP
of North Iowa to mentor students and help send them to the day’s classes
on a positive note. According to RSVP, 100 percent of school-identified students
in the Breakfast Buddies mentoring program showed progress in academic performance
last year.
