Wisconsin Badger Camp is currently seeking energetic summer staff who are looking to make a difference and gain rewarding experiences working with people who have disabilities. There is no experience necessary; the perfect staff member is simply someone who is excited to learn and has a passion for helping others.
Wisconsin Badger Bamp is a residential summer camp that serves children and adults with developmental, physical and/or emotional/behavioral disabilities. Campers range in age from 3 to 93 and have a wide range of diagnoses such as Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down's Syndrome, Epilepsy, Spina Bifida and many other conditions. Uniquely, Wisconsin Badger Camp does not turn any campers away based on the severity of their disability or their inability to pay for camp.
Wisconsin Badger Camp offers more than just a summer pay check; it offers a summer of new experiences, growth, friendships and memories to last a lifetime! At Badger Camp, staff will gain valuable life and professional skills including experience working in an inclusionary setting while receiving training and enrichment opportunities. Regardless of a student's major, a summer working at Badger Camp will greatly enhance a student's job marketability through the skills they will gain and develop. Badger Camp also offers a competitive salary package which includes room and board for the duration of the summer season and the possibility of completing required internships for college credits! Wisconsin Badger Camp's 2015 summer season begins May 29th and ends August 15th. The typical workweek starts at 11:00 a.m. on Sunday and ends at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
