It’s time to make your housing arrangements for the 2017-2018 school year!
The information on this website is offered to assist current and future residential students as they complete the housing selection process. Please read the information carefully and feel free to ask any questions you may have.
SQUATTER’S RIGHT: All students currently living in Breen, Tanner or Ormseth, who intend to maintain their current rooms and roommate(s) for the coming year will be given the privilege to do so without having to go through the entire selection process. Those students will need to complete a Squatter’s Rights form at the Residence Life Office in the Campus Center from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 27-March 3, 2017. They will also need to sign housing contracts, select meal plans, and sign up for parking.
Theme Houses and Timberland
Theme houses and Timberland applications are due to the Residence Life Office by 4 p.m. on Friday, March 3, 2017. Interviews for both will be held during the week of March 20-24, 2017, and students may sign up for an interview time at the CIC desk (Campus Center) the week before. The residents selections will be announced after the "pick-a-chip" process, so students are strongly encouraged to pick a number between 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 14-Friday March 17, 2017, in case they are not selected for a theme house or Timberland apartment.
All others will need to go through the Housing Selection Process, which will be based on a lottery drawing. There will be three boxes in the Residence Life Office (across from the Campus Information Center) with numbers for each group of students to select a number from. Drawing will take place Tuesday, March 14–Friday, March 17, 2017.
Housing Selection will take place Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
5:30 – 6:15 p.m. Seniors in Fall
6:15 – 7 p.m. Juniors in Fall
7 – 7:45 p.m. Sophomores in Fall
7:45 – 8:30 p.m. Anyone unable to make it earlier

Housing sign-up will be based on the number of credits earned by the end of the Fall 2017 semester. It is each student’s responsibility to know how many credits he or she has. If a student signs up with the wrong class, the student will be placed at the bottom of the appropriate class.

Rising Senior: 86+ credits
Rising Junior: 54-85 credits
Rising Sophomore: 53 or fewer credits
Credits DO NOT include 2016 Summer session credits.
Students are responsible for reading this information and the housing contract, and seeking clarification regarding the housing process. You may find the Housing Contract on-line at: waldorf.edu/housingforms.
As indicated in the housing contract, all residential students (except for those in Timberland) are required to have a meal plan. Requests for exemption need to be made to the Dean of Students. Housing Selection will take place Thursday, March 30, 2017, from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. You must have your student ID with you!
The order of selection will be done by a lottery drawing. Each group of students will select a number from one of three boxes in the Residence Life Office in the Campus Center between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
You MUST draw your number: Tuesday, March 14–Friday, March 17, 2017
Students will be listed according to their number picked; with the lower number been listed first. The lower your number, the earlier you get to select in the process on March 30, 2017. Two students wanting to be roommates may sign up during the first roommate’s turn to sign up.
For those who are unable to be at housing selection:
You may pick up a Proxy Form from the Residence Life Office by Tueday, March 14, 2017. Complete and return the form to the Residence Life Office or give it to the person who will represent you during housing selection. The proxy form will indicate that you are authorizing someone to select a room. You will need to stop by the Residence Life Office to sign a housing contract, select your meal plan, and reserve your parking permit by 4 p.m. Friday, March 31, 2017.

Students who are attending a summer session, or staying in the Forest City area during the summer are encouraged to sign up for housing during Housing Selection on Thursday, March 30, 2017. Summer Housing will be in Breen Hall and costs will be as follows:
There is no meal plan available for summer residents but Warrior Crossing will have meals available for Warrior Bucks or cash.

Parking permits for next school year may be reserved at the same time you sign up for housing. Parking permits are $50 and will be charged to your student account. Permits will be placed in your welcome package at the beginning of the 2016-2017 school year.
Note: Student parking is prohibited in RA, AC and Facilities parking stalls. Overnight parking on city streets is also prohibited. Parking for Summer Housing will be in the Water Tower Parking Lot. Current permits are good for the summer. Students who do not currently have permits, but would like to have a vehicle on campus in the summer, will need to purchase a summer parking permit for $25.
