Librarians provide instruction for curriculum support including:

  • Collaborative Embedded Instruction Program (CEP)
    • This program combines library and writing center instruction to support students in courses containing a research paper component. The CEP program includes 3-5 short instruction sessions, led by a librarian or writing center expert, throughout the semester. Instruction is paced to correlate with student progress on their research papers. This program is limited to 5 courses per semester.
  • One-shot information literacy sessions
    •  One-shot sessions are provided in courses upon request by faculty. Topics commonly covered are catalog or database searching, instruction on subject-specific databases, evaluating websites, academic integrity, and citation information. Faculty members may request library instruction for their classes by emailing their subject liaison librarian.
  • Creation of course library guides
    • Librarians develop library guides tailored to meet the needs of a particular course upon request. Library guides are intended to support students by directing them towards subject specific titles, databases, videos, and websites appropriate for course assignments. Faculty should contact their liaison librarian to discuss content.
