Faculty Achievements and Recognition

Michelle Wright, online psychology adjunct professor, presented three posters at the 15th Biennial Society for Research on Adolescence. One was called: Adolescents' Psychological Adjustment Difficulties and Cyber-Victimization: The Moderation of School-Belongingness and Ethnicity; second was titled: The Impact of Racial Discrimination and School Composition on Latino Adolescents' Social Status Insecurity and Aggression.

Dr. Larry Hill, Waldorf's director of student teaching and clinical placement, co-facilitated a meeting on Oct. 22, 2013, with Iowa Board of Educations Examiners (BOEE) consultatnt JoAnne Tubbs for top education leaders from major Iowa educational organizations around the issues of ethics.

Julie Maier, assistant professor of psychology, has two publications in press.

Dr. Sara Finley, assistant professor of psychology at Waldorf College, presented two research projects at the 35th annual meeting of the Cognitive Science Society in Berlin, Germany this month.

Professor of Biology Dr. Paul Bartelt was named co-editor of the Journal of Herpetology, a quarterly journal of the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles.

Associate Professor of Education Rebecca Hill was awarded her doctorate of education in exceptional student education from Northcentral University in Phoenix, Ariz., on June 8.


Waldorf College Assistant Professor of English and Associate Dean of Accreditation  David Rask Behling has been cast as Sherlock Holmes in the Albert Lea Community Theater production of Sherlock Holmes: The Final Adventure.
