Coombs serves as Vice Chair on Iowa Acadamey of Science department

Gary Coombs, assistant professor of Biology, is serving this year as Vice Chair of the Cell, Molecular, and Microbiology section of the annual meeting of the Iowa Academy of Science. Coombs also has students (Jennifer Brewer, Kaylee Vitale and Karissa Vilks) presenting a poster entitled "A Bioinformatic Approach to Identifying Candidate Iron-dependent Enzymes that Positively Regulate Canonical Wnt Signaling at the Level of beta-catenin Mediated Transcription" at the same meeting.
