Bartlet named co-editor of scientific journal

Professor of Biology Dr. Paul Bartelt was named co-editor of the Journal of Herpetology, a quarterly journal of the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles, the world’s largest international society of herpetologists. The Journal appointed two co-editors to manage and approve all articles it publishes. Bartelt served as an associate editor for two years. In 2009, the Journal of Herpetology was named as one of the “Top 100 Journals Most Influential in the Biological & Medical Sciences Worldwide in the Past 100 Years.”

Bartelt also received an extension and additional funding from the Iowa Department of Transportation to continue his study on the use of roadways – i.e. roadside ditches – by amphibians.
