FOREST CITY, IOWA | The Waldorf College Committee on Vocation and Service and Immanuel Lutheran Church are sponsoring a bake sale on February 21, 2015 beginning at 8:30 a.m., at Bill’s Family Foods in Forest City, Iowa. Proceeds from the bake sale will be used to fund Stop Hunger, the food-packaging event, scheduled for March 4, 2015.

FOREST CITY, IOWA | The Waldorf College Theatre will be presenting 9 To 5 The Musical February 11-14. Shows begin at 7:30 p.m. nightly in the Smith Theatre. 

FOREST CITY, Iowa | Hannah Ashley, daughter of Brenda and Brodrick Ashley, has received the Chantell Cooley Leadership Scholarship for Women in STEM.

FOREST CITY - Council members Tony Mikes and Bob Kuefler will represent the city of Forest City in an exploratory group formed to look at the possible construction of a fine arts facility in Forest City.

FOREST CITY, IOWA | Waldorf College will host Poet Laureate of Iowa, Mary Swander, on February 19 as part of the Distinguished Visiting Writers Series on campus. Practical Farmers of Iowa (PFI) will host a light dinner reception from 6-7 p.m., followed by a performance of Swander’s short production, “Map of my Kingdom,” and a group question-and-answer-style discussion. Admission and reception are free to the public.

FOREST CITY, IOWA| The Waldorf Art Gallery will be displaying artwork created by Joan Webster-Vore, a graduate of the University of Iowa and award-winning artist, from January 12 – February 20, 2015. An artist reception will be held January 15 from 5:30-7:30 p.m., with an artist talk at 6:30 p.m.

FOREST CITY, IOWA | In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Waldorf College will be hosting poet, musician and social educator, Mohammed Bilal, Monday, January 19 at 10:00 a.m. in the Atrium.
