Waldorf College will debut its third art gallery exhibit of the academic year on Jan. 7, 2013. The exhibit will feature works by Ted Bieth, a teacher at Northwood Kensett Community Schools and North Iowa Area Community College.
Dr. Blake Slonecker, Assistant Professor of History and Political Science at Waldorf College, will debut his first book this month. “A New Dawn for the New Left: Liberation News Service, Montague Farm, and the Long Sixties” examines the interstices between sexual liberation, counterculture, antinuclear activism, and Marxism.
Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor, Associate Professor of Music at Waldorf College, has been selected by The College Music Society (CMS) to serve as their inaugural ambassador to Iceland.
Forest City, Iowa – Ring in the holiday season with music at Christmas with Waldorf, an annual weekend of concert performances, at Immanuel Lutheran Church on Saturday, December 1, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, December 2, at 3:00 p.m. The theme of this year’s performance is A Rose in Winter.
Notes from the Journey Westward, his latest collection of poems. This is his second collection of published poetry and winner of the 17th Annual White Pine Press Prize in Poetry.
Waldorf College students are not the only ones hard at work this semester. College faculty will be presenting their research projects and papers at the school’s annual Fall Faculty Inquirere Nov. 5 and 7.
