FOREST CITY, IOWA| The Waldorf Community Artist Series (WCAS) will host the Mason City located band FELDSPARjazz Sunday, September 7 at 7 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Forest City, Iowa.

FOREST CITY, IOWA| North Iowa Marching Arts and Pageantry, Inc. will host Forest City’s first annual Northern Festival of Brass event August 1 at 7 p.m. at the Forest City High School. This is an officially sanctioned competition through Drum Corps International (DCI) and is part of the DCI summer performance tour. 

FOREST CITY, IOWA | The Waldorf Theatre Company will present the Reduced Shakespeare Company's production of The Complete History of America (Abridged) on July 14th and 15th at 7:00PM, July 17th at 7:30PM, and July 18th at 4:00PM in Smith Theatre.

FOREST CITY, IOWA – Dr. Kristín Jónína Taylor, Waldorf College associate professor of music, has dedicated over five years of her life to researching Icelandic composer and musician Thorkell Sigurbjörnsson and his influence on the nation’s music. Dr. Taylor’s journey to publishing The Complete Solo Piano Works of Thorkell Sigurbjörnsson, a collection of piano compositions created over 42 years, did not follow a conventional process.

FOREST CITY, Iowa | The Waldorf Theatre Company will be performing Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” on their 2014 summer tour across the Midwest. They will be performing in Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin – ending with a final performance at Pilot Knob State Park near Forest City, Iowa, on June 6 at noon. 

FOREST CITY, Iowa - Waldorf College is hosting a high school art show, open to the public May 5-9 in the Luis V. Hanson Library.  The artwork displayed on campus was created by students from North Iowa, Lake Mills, Newman Catholic, West Hancock, Belmond-Klemme, Mason City, and Forest City high school.

Forest City, Iowa | Waldorf College established a Mu Phi Epsilon International Professional Music Fraternity chapter on campus three years ago. Even though the chapter is still in the building stages, with six committed student members, Mu Phi Epsilon received the Outstanding Student Organization award at this year’s Waldorf Student Senate SEAL (Students Excelling in Activities and Leadership) awards.
