Forest City, Iowa - One Hundred and twelve students have been named to the Fall 2013 dean’s list at Waldorf College. The students on this list of academic excellence represent 20 different states and 5 countries.

Forest City, Iowa – Waldorf College’s Faculty Writers Series welcomes Kyle Torke on Monday, February 3. Torke, a Visiting Associate Professor at Waldorf College, will be speaking to creative writing classes on Waldorf campus, as well as reciting his own work at a public reading.

Two Waldorf College students were recently awarded research grants from the Iowa Iota chapter of the Alpha Chi Honor Society. Junior creative writing and secondary education major Marisa Donnelly of Naperville, Ill. and senior communications major Phillip Koolhoven of Redlands, Calif. both received $500 grants to further their educational endeavors.

Students attending Waldorf College’s residential programs had one less worry as they began their spring semester this week. The college has announced a tuition freeze for the 2014-2015 school year, meaning current students will not see the standard rise in tuition costs that is common across the country.

Waldorf College senior education major Erin Larsen knows the meaning of hard work. This September Larsen took two PRAXIS tests, one of the final steps to becoming a licensed teacher, and scored in the top 15% of all test takers who took the Content Knowledge test in previous years.
