Employees of Waldorf College were honored recently for their years of service and outstanding contributions to the liberal arts school and its students.
Approximately 800 people, including graduating students, their families and friends, are expected to attend Waldorf College 2011 Baccalaureate and Commencement scheduled on April 30.
The chair of the Waldorf College Board of Trustees announced today that Robert A. Alsop will be the 16th president of Waldorf College. The Rev. Buford Lipscomb made the announcement in the college’s Recital Hall at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 14.
Waldorf College, a four-year liberal arts school, will host an open house on Saturday, April 16 to give prospective students and their parents a chance to visit the campus and learn what the college has to offer.
Informative, challenging and inspiring speeches will be delivered at the Waldorf College Student Inquirere on April 12-13 in the Nilssen-Boe Science Hall, according to organizer Suzanne Falck-Yi.
Approximately 200 awards will be given out on Honors Day April 6 as Waldorf College and the Waldorf Lutheran College Foundation celebrate Honors Day by recognizing student scholarship recipients, donors and other scholastic achievements.
Waldorf College will host a free panel discussion, “Iowa’s Judiciary: Present and Future,” at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, March 31 in the Atrium at the school.
