Forest City, Iowa – This summer, the Luise V. Hanson Library and the communications department at Waldorf College are teaming up to share their love of books with a new review program called Summer Book Picks.
With Summer Book Picks, community members are invited to share reviews of their favorite books on Waldorf’s radio station KZOW 91.9. The program will run the week of May 28 through the week of August 19.
“Summer Book Picks is an expansion of the library’s staff picks,” explains Andrea Slonecker, library assistant and program coordinator. “Anyone can get a Luise V. Hanson library card for free, and it’s a great place to find books for pleasure reading. We have many popular novels and memoirs, along with a great selection of children’s books.”
Reviews should be one to four paragraphs long and include an excerpt from the book. Important information to share includes the title, author’s name, and genre. Reviewed books do not have to come from the Hanson Library’s collection.
Volunteers interested in participating should contact Slonecker at email@example.com or Betsy Yaros at firstname.lastname@example.org.
