Forest City, Iowa - Waldorf College will join the American Red Cross in recognizing March as Red Cross Month and host its second annual blood drive on Tuesday, March 27.
The drive will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Waldorf College Atrium. The donated blood will help the Red Cross meet the needs of patients across the nation as well as assist the victims of international disasters or conflicts.
“Like the Emergency Room of a hospital, the American Red Cross needs to be prepared to respond to patient emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year,” said Mary Mathiasen, director of student health services and coordinator of the blood drive. “By giving blood, Waldorf students help make it possible for the American Red Cross to meet those needs.”
For more information or to schedule an appointment to donate, please contact Mary Mathiasen at (641) 585-8157 or visit redcrossblood.org.
