Waldorf College, a four-year liberal arts school, will host an open house on Saturday, Feb. 19 to give prospective students and their parents a chance to visit the campus and learn what the college has to offer.

The event is scheduled 9 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. at locations across campus. Registration is 9 to 9:15 a.m. in the Atrium, located between Salveson and Thorson halls. Open houses, which typically draw as many as 30 prospective students from across the country, are the best way for students to experience Waldorf College.

“By attending an open house, families get a snapshot of Waldorf College,” said Scott Pitcher, assistant director of admissions. “They participate in several sessions as a group, but also have the opportunity to experience the campus on their own. The open house is one step in the college process at Waldorf.”

Students will have the opportunity to tour campus, meet Waldorf students, speak with professors and learn about a variety of degree programs. In addition, prospective students will have the opportunity to meet and ask questions of a panel of current Waldorf students. At the same time, parents will meet and ask questions of faculty and staff members from Student Life.

The day will also feature a session dedicated to financial aid. That night, guests will have the opportunity to attend a 7:30 p.m. performance of “Kiss Me Kate,” featuring the Waldorf Theatre and Music departments.

Open houses are held once per month throughout the year. Following are the dates for the next six events:
