Forest City, IA –Gaming enthusiasts from all over the Midwest will travel to Waldorf College to compete in the nation’s largest Heroscape gaming tournament on Saturday, October 15.
The event is organized and coordinated by Dale Jordal, the product safety administrator at Winnebago Industries, and will be held in Waldorf;s Atrium.
“Heroscape is like chess on steroids with Legos,” said Jordal. “Heroscape has more characters, and the game is simple and basic.” The game has six rounds, each lasting an hour. ,There will be plenty of prizes for the winners, some worth up to $50.
The event will attract about 60 participants, traveling from the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, South Dakota and Nebraska. The event starts at 9 a.m. and will go through 5 p.m. in the evening. The cost of participation is $10 per person.
“This is a great opportunity for us to promote Waldorf College,” said Monica Scarano, continuing education coordinator at Waldorf College. “We are glad to have facilities that can be used by our community,”
