Waldorf College is preparing to welcome back alumni and friends to its annual Homecoming Weekend Celebration scheduled Oct. 8 through 10 in Forest City, Iowa.

This year's activities will feature a multitude of events ranging from a bonfire to a 5K Run/Walk to a homecoming parade. "We have assembled a fantastic array of activities for our alumni, students and guests," said Waldorf College President Dr. Joe Manjone. "We are happy and honored to welcome all to come celebrate traditions and cheer our teams."

The homecoming weekend will kick off with a spectacular bonfire and pep rally. The Waldorf football, soccer, volleyball, bowling, and cross-country teams, coaches, cheerleaders and students will be there to fire up the crowd and get ready for battle. Locally, the Waldorf volleyball team will take on North Central while the football team will face St. Ambrose on Oct. 9. Also that day, Waldorf soccer and cross-country teams are scheduled to compete at St. Ambrose and in the Dan Huston Invitational in Waverly, respectively.

Among the unique events scheduled for homecoming is a luncheon reunion for alumni classes organized by decades. Alumni can also enjoy a flag pole dedication, music concert, Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Banquet and luncheon honoring past students' distinguished service.

Homecoming weekend will also feature events for the family such as carriage rides, an arts and crafts fair, a pancake breakfast, campus tours and a festival worship service.
