FOREST CITY, Iowa | Waldorf College associate professor of biology, Dr. Gary Coombs, and sophomore biology student Maria Valdes spent two months this summer conducting research as part of the Fostering Undergraduate Talent – Uniting Research and Education (FUTURE) in Biomedicine program in Iowa City, Iowa.

Waldorf College releases residential spring 2015 Dean’s List
 
FOREST CITY, Iowa | One hundred and nineteen residential students were named to the Waldorf College spring 2015 Dean’s List.  To receive this honor, students must earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better on a 4.0 scale while completing a minimum of 12 credits during the semester.

FOREST CITY, Iowa | Waldorf College will present director of creative writing and assistant professor of English Tim Bascom in a public reading on April 13 at 7 p.m. in the Luise V. Hanson Library lounge. Bascom will read and discuss his new memoir “Running to the Fire: An American Missionary Comes of Age in Revolutionary Ethiopa.”

FOREST CITY, Iowa | Waldorf College director of business online program, master’s degree program interim director and residential and online adjunct professor, Dr. Larry Hill, was appointed to the Iowa Board of Educational Examiners. Hill was appointed by Governor Terry E. Branstad earlier this month.

FOREST CITY, IOWA | Waldorf College will be holding a History Symposium on March 31 beginning at 7:30 p.m. in the Atrium. This year’s title is “150/70/40,” marking the anniversaries of the Civil War, World War II and Vietnam War. The event is free and open to the public.

Five Waldorf students attended the 2015 Alpha Chi National Convention March 19-21 in Chicago. Hundreds of students from both the U.S. and internationally, gathered to celebrate scholarship, academics, networking, and camaraderie. Waldorf College students who attended are Marisa Donnelly, Molly Maschka, Tara Kingland, Jenna Tegtmeyer and Shaye Sutherland.
