A high school senior from Humboldt, Iowa, won a four-year, full-tuition scholarship to attend Waldorf College, and five other students were awarded four-year $2,000 scholarships as part of Scholarship Day on Feb. 12 at the school.


More volunteers are needed to help package food at a Wednesday, March 2 event sponsored by Waldorf College and Immanuel Lutheran Church. This is the second year the college and Forest City church have teamed up to help the food-aid organization, Kids Against Hunger.


Two Waldorf College seniors, accompanied by two history professors, will return for the second year to present history papers alongside peers and professionals at a prestigious conference March 3-5 in Omaha, Neb.


Classical singer Tana Field of Kentucky is returning close to home for a concert in Forest City at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 28 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.


The Waldorf College Choir will embark on a nine-day, six-state Midwest tour during spring break that will be highlighted by a stop in Nashville, Tenn., a city known for its vibrant music culture.


Waldorf College art professor Kristi Carlson will display her drawings made of the land around Forest City in a show on campus now through late March.


Novelist Dean Bakopoulos, a professor of creative writing at Iowa State University, will visit Waldorf College on Monday and Tuesday, Feb. 21-22 to read from his first novel and to work with students.
